Migraines stopped with Brain therapy
Migraine can be a very debilitating problem for many people; in fact it is the most common neurological disorder in the western world today and actually affects around fifteen per cent of the population in the UK.
A research team from the Ohio State University recently found that by hitting the brain with a specific magnetic field called Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) this can actually stop the migraine as it begins to build up, as early symptoms can be recognised by suffers.
By using two stimulators on the head this can actually turn off the migraine attack in its earliest stages and thus preventing the suffering from having to take time off work etc. however at the moment there is one problem the equipment will cost around £5,000 for each patient, with millions of patients it’s a huge cost.
