Nanoparticle helps combat brain tumours
A 3D model has been used to show how a new nanoparticle drug delivery system can help treat brain tumours, this is a remarkable break through as brain tumour are very difficult to treat or to even get drugs to the precise point needed to make an effective treatment worthwhile.
The model has been developed by the University of Nottingham’s, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences and Human Development departments and is going to be featured in the September 07 issue of the Experimental Biology and Medicine magazine.
This is not the only application for the nanoparticles drug delivery system as there is new research starling into a number of applications for this type of system.
