To most people it is spring that would normally offer the greatest amount of fruit and vegetables, but apparently, this is not so as it is autumn that offers the best opportunities for healthy eaters to get their hands on some of the best produce that the UK has to offer.
It is an ideal time to try many different and in some cases, new types of fruit and vegetables, but more than that it are the health benefits, which these can offer is being promoted at the moment.
Fresh fruit and vegetables packed full of healthy antioxidants, which have been proved to help with, lowering the risk of heart disease, fight against cancer and even slow down the effects of ageing.
Antioxidants are a natural way of clearing the potentially harmful molecules, which can come from pesticides, and even chlorine based products.
