Vitamin pills do not slow ageing process

It seems that the faith in vitamins rolling back the years may have been misplaced by the millions of people who spend millions of pounds on these products.

Recent research from the University College, London, has found that vitamin C and E, which are the ones normally praised as being able to prevent or slow the ageing process, is wrong, because these vitamins have no effect on the ageing process.

These claims have been backed up by similar work in the US, they tested 150,000 men with vitamin C and E supplements, initially this was to see if there was any effect on cancer cells, but there was no difference between those who were taking the vitamins and those who were not.

Of course, vitamins do have a place in our lifestyles, but too much faith should not be put in them.
