Microsoft to sponsor research awards
Microsoft Research a subsidiary of software giant Microsoft, are to sponsor the BioMed Central 2007 Research Awards, which is for work that has been published through the BioMed Central open access journals.
The nominations are still open as the deadline is December 21st 2007, with any scientist or doctor who has published any original research are eligible for nomination and with two prizes of $5000 it has to be worth it.
The winners are selected by a panel of judges, which will include editorial team members and some outside professionals who are involved in biology or medicine. And will be announced at the BioMed Central Research Awards special dinner in March 2008.
