Scientists discover “Good” cholesterol gene
A team of biomedical researchers at the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research in San Antonio have announced that they are able to pinpoint the genes responsible for regulating good cholesterol.
This discovery can lead to the effective treatment of heart disease, by identifying the different genes responsible for cholesterol. Of the two types the bad one is linked to being the type that produce a plague type substance which coats the inside of the circulatory system. As the build gets to the point where blood flow is hampered this in where health issues begin to happen.
This discovery and potential treatment of this could be able to save many operations and costly after care for those affected by heart disease.
