New source of stem cells

Researchers in the US have discovered an unusual source of stem cells, men’s testicles! It would appear that they are quite a good resource for the stem cells which have become a vital part for the treatment of many illnesses and diseases.

The research team have already taken the stem cells from mice and reprogrammed them to form tissue, blood vessels and heart cells.

If this could be replicated with human stem cells then the possibilities are reasonably good for the same sort of work to be done, this could mean that all the ethical issues that turn up with the harvesting of embryonic stem cells would no longer happen.
