Second Life’s Brain Interface

Second Life users will soon be able to move their avatars by the power of their thoughts. Researchers from the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory at Keio University in Japan have been working on a brain to computer interface which enable the user to control what they see by thought only.

This is a bit like an old sci-fi movie scene where there is someone just sitting in a chair controlling everything by the power of their own minds, oh how exciting the future is going to be for everyone.

There are several videos of this in practice on the internet and from those it would seem that it does work, but this would relate to a practical application is anyone’s guess this stage.
