Effects of ageing reversed in mice

In a study at Stanford University School of Medicine, researchers have reversed the aging process in mice; this has been done by them blocking just a single protein.

This is not going to be the mythical fountain of youth; otherwise this research team would be billionaires overnight just by setting up a clinic in Beverley Hills! But what this does show is that they will be able to reverse the affects of skin damage in the elderly.

This is a very promising start to something that may help older people recover much faster for surgery and other medical problems such illness etc, in the mean there are some very good looking mice living in the lab!
