Vaccine for drug addicts

Researchers from the psychiatry and neuroscience department at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas have been working on a great new vaccine which is set to change the whole way that we see drug addiction.

The problem with drug addiction is the withdrawal process, it is all to easy to slip back under the spell of the drug even though the user may have been clean for some time, one slip up and they can quickly become under spell again.

But this vaccine prevents the feeling of being high, it would be very similar to drinking non alcoholic wine, you have the taste but no feeling. Because the process is slow the patient is gradually taken off the drug, but without the side effects of withdrawal. This is very promising if it works and becomes widely available.
